Three steps,
under a minute.

  1. 1

    Photograph

One stamp, or an album laid flat and shot from above. Even light, no plastic sleeve glare.

  2. 2

    We find and crop

The app finds each stamp on your phone and sends only the crops, with location data removed.

  3. 3

    Pick and save

Check the match, pick a different one if needed, and save it to your collection.

Honest values

Most stamps are worth a few cents.
We will tell you.

No $4 to $1,500 ranges. When Stamp Lens shows a value, you see why.

  • A narrow range with a confidence level and the reason behind it
  • Never a range wider than 10 times: above that we say it needs an expert
  • A gentle “worth a closer look” flag when a stamp may be valuable
  • Values come from our own data, never from a publisher’s catalog or an AI guess

Questions,
answered.

How does Stamp Lens identify a stamp?

The app finds and crops each stamp on your phone, then sends only those crops to our server. The server compares the crop with the images in our own stamp catalog and returns the closest matches. For hard cases a vision AI model may compare your crop with those catalog candidates and read the text and face value. It picks from real catalog entries; it never invents one or names a price.

Why do I sometimes get three choices instead of one answer?

When we are not sure, we say so. You see the top three candidates with a confidence level and a reference picture, and you pick the right one (or None of these). Your pick helps us improve the catalog.

Will the same photo give a different answer next time?

No. Results come from our catalog, not from a guess, and a rescan of the same photo returns the same answer.

Can I scan a whole album page?

Yes. Lay the album flat and shoot from directly above. The app finds up to 40 stamps on the page, lets you remove or add boxes, then identifies them all and gives you a page summary.

How much are my stamps worth?

Most common stamps sell for a few cents. When Stamp Lens shows a value, it is a range with a confidence level and the reason behind it, never a range wider than 10 times. If a stamp may be valuable, we flag it and suggest getting an expert opinion. Values are estimates only, not an appraisal.

Why are there no Scott, Stanley Gibbons or Michel numbers?

Those numbering systems and their prices belong to their publishers, so we don't copy them. You can type your own catalog numbers into any stamp; they stay on your phone.

Do my photos leave my phone?

Your full photo stays on your phone. Only the cropped stamps, with location and other photo metadata removed, are sent when you tap scan. Your collection is stored on your device.
